Busy bee

but not an evil bumblebee. Didn't go to Greek Festival. Dad gave me 20 dollars to take Tim out with. Dad is too nice. Tim wanted to go to Applebee's. No comment. His night, tho, so we went.
Monday Bug Jar for our first 80's night there. Fun. Pizza. 2 dollar drinks, including Guinness. Tim thought he knew the guy he lost to at pool, but dude is an out-of-towner. No name, just Dude. He liked us, among other people, and we put away our wallets. Caught up with Branch (Herman to you). Tim really looks cute with his head shaved. Dancing.
Tuesday Dad took me, Tim, Sis and her hubby to supper at Westgate Family Diner. Too nice. After Tim and I got his kit bag contents from the Dollar Tree across the street.
Wednesday up early for our diner breakfast by his mom: time was changed so we could sleep later but the eejits forgot to tell us. Too stupid. I thought that the K-mart bags were full of stuff for Tim but they were full of crap for the baby. Oh, is the baby going to the Army? I got him a military hairbrush from Sally Beauty Supply next door. And he dropped off his car to the parents. They insisted he fill it with gas first. Guess who lent him the money for that? My Dad. Now they are like: oh we were just joking!! Hogwash. Tim's dad asked if the returnable bottles were still in the trunk or had Tim redeemed them? Jeepers. The diner owner paid for Tim's breakfast. No, Tim's mom didn't give the 10 or so dollars she saved to Tim for walking- around money. More guessing games: where did they go after this early breakfast? To work? No, to Turning Stone Casino. They do not know how much Tim stole from my dad or that he stole my credit card for $1652, among other things.
When we got home, Tim was disgusted that his mom told him there was no way she was going for his graduation from Basic Training in South Carolina in August because she won't fly, F**k no. Not ladylike. And gas is too expensive. Reckon gas is cheaper to go to the casino with, and all over town to eat out and buy crap for the grandchildren with. Oh, that magical gas. I did an alteration and went to deliver it. Didn't get paid yet but I don't like to keep customers waiting too long. Then
to the recruitment office and then to Buffalo, which was very lovely. (I took today off without pay.) Tim and I had a nice time, dining at the Holiday Inn Downtown and walking around the neighborhood, saying goodby. I miss him so much. Coming home, a beautiful sunset and thinnest crescent moon. I showed Dad how to use the cell phone. Dad is sad and depressed about Tim having to go. What a waste, but Army is better than jail. And I don't want a divorce. And we want our money (rueful laugh). Talked to Tim several times before lights out. :( Dad out of town this weekend.
Thursday up very early for someone who works nights to go the the conference in Geneva. Met my friends from Greece for breakfast, took my workshop, then joined them for lunch. Many hugs and commiseration about hubby. They all commented on how tired I was!! I checked into my beautiful lakeside room at the Ramada Inn and took a bath and a nap. Changed into nice duds for cocktails in Chris' room (Arkansas Razorbacks) and then rode to the castle. Very nice. While there Tim called from the South Carolina airport with the calling card I gave him!!!!!!! He couldn't use the pay phone long tho, I understand. Dinner wasn't up to Belhurst Castle standards but we had fun. Also at our table were some girls from Interlibrary Loan department at University of Rochester. Fun. Hugs from friends at Central Library. Went back to Ramada, called Carolee to jap because I was so "tired on my feet" as Chris said, read a few chapters and went to bed at the time I am usually getting home from work!! TV was not turned on during entire trip. Rest of conference good, I love my co-workers at Greece. Even had a serious Union discussion with my co-worker from Winton. Very impressive luncheon.
After goodbyes, I went to the Salvation Army in Geneva and found a dress from 60's with McCurdy's tags still on it, and a Talbots' dress from this year. I bought another jigger-in-a-jiffy because I needed another and it was only 1.99. Saw a cool round house taking a back way thru the city of Geneva.
For Friday night, I watched King of the Hill (lo-flo toilets) and took a nap on the couch before going to Dinosaur to see Hi-Risers. Wick said they would start late: they didn't. Only show here this summer. Guy bought me a Genesee in honor of Tim being in Army. Brian Murray there with his girlfriend (!). Funny story about Lino and Sonny Rollins Jr. Tom Bop Shop Kohn wearing a muumuu, no it was a too-small Hawaiian shirt with guitars. He had to wear it unbuttoned, with a t-shirt. Some very good songs. Battle of New Orleans!!! and some same old good time great time oldies, why Greg and Todd?? Eddie Angel of Los Straitjackets and Neanderthals was guest and did nice work on White Lightnin'.
Cuddled up with Chan in the bed. Shangri-La stayed in the kitchen where it was cooler.
I hope Tim is doing ok. He was quite pleased to learn that once on post, his online college classes will be FREE. and mine too maybe! if they pay for graduate studies for me, that is....
Plus Brother in Tennessee called right before I went out to see how I was holding up. :)
